South Loop Community Table is a weekly community building event, meal, and resource center for unhoused folks in the South Loop. They offer dinner, medical care, occupational therapy, toiletries, clothing, games, holiday parties and more. As winter approaches, the need for clothing, food and necessary essentials becomes crucial. Lord of Life can help.

A key way is to collect all clean clothing items including hats, gloves, shoes and coats. So let’s do it. Check your clothes closets, your attic, and your bedroom drawers and collect those items of clothing. A bin will be designated in the narthex to collect your   clothing donations.

And, there are other ways you can help too. You can:

  • Volunteer Every Sunday evening from September through May from about 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
  • Catering Cater to feed about 75 people once or twice throughout the year. $200 will be reimbursed for groceries and supplies.
  • Wish list Check out the Amazon wishlist for some supplies needed by SLCT. needs.
