Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God!”

Lenten greetings members and friends of Lord of Life Lutheran Church,

As we enter the season of Lent, we are reminded of the significance of this time in our faith journey. Lent is a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal. This year, we will be focusing on how we can use this time to deepen our commitment to building meaningful relationships and engage in transformative practices that reflect the love of God in our community and world.

During this Lenten season, we will be exploring the theme of "Slowing Down and Being Mindful." We will be reflecting on the ways in which we can cultivate stillness and mindfulness in our lives, allowing us to deepen our connection with God and one another. We will also be celebrating the contributions of women throughout history, and reflecting on how we can continue to work towards gender equality and justice.

In addition to our regular Sunday worship services, we will be holding midweek services on Wednesdays at 7 pm. These Holden services will be contemplative and reflective, providing an opportunity for us to slow down and connect with God in the midst of our busy lives.

As we journey through this season of Lent together, I encourage you to take time to be present in the moment, and to appreciate the contributions of women throughout history and in our lives today. Consider what practices you might take on or let go of during this time in order to cultivate stillness and mindfulness, and to deepen your relationship with God and your connection with others.

May this season of Lent be a time of renewal and transformation for us all, as we seek to slow down, be mindful, and live out God's love in our lives and in our world.

Blessings,

Pastor Adam
